A few years ago, I was living a life that demanded a lot from me, constantly giving and burning myself out, as I'm sure many of you can relate. Pretty randomly, I remembered how back in college I took a yoga class. I went on YouTube, searched up a 20 minute practice and my journey into the world of yoga began.
As time went on, I cherished the physical practice of yoga more and more because it allowed me to focus solely on myself . Years passed and I went deeper into the practice. Finally, I took the plunge and went to a teacher training only to discover that yoga is about a lot more than stretching.
I became certified in Ashtanga, Hatha, and Yin yoga; however, I truly shine in Ashtanga and Yin. I've found that Yin and Ashtanga complement each other beautifully -- they offer something unique on opposite ends of the spectrum.
The three things I hope every student experiences in my classes are: connection to self, inner quiet, and restored balance. Yoga is more than stretching and poses -- it's about awareness and presence. I want to help every student find balance and create their own paradise within.
